Dordogne is on the first floor and boasts a beautiful 5mx3m balcony overlooking the specatcular gardens and surrounding countryside. The gite has been tastefully renovated and restored whilst providing the modern conveniences of self catering accommodation. It is furnished to a high standard retaining many of its original stone wals and exposed beams. Leading off the living room is one double and one twin bedroom and shower room. From the kitchen there is access to the balcony and leading off the balcony is a further double bedroom. The balcony comes complete with table, chairs and barbecue. |

The extensive grounds are fully secure and afford masses of space for playing, riding bikes sitting under the shade of a tree or sunbathing listening to the gentle sound of the fountain playing in the fish pond. A large barbecue complete with chairs and tables is available.
Surrounding the fenced salt water pool, which has steps at one end and slopes to a depth of 2m are further gardens and terrace with the huge banana trees providing welcome shade. Sun loungers, cushions and parasols and shower are provided.
Guests can enjoy the indoor playroom, complete with table tennis and board games whilst there is a further "quiet" sitting room adjoining.

You are ideally placed to see the best of this wonderful area with many local day and evening markets, fabulous child friendly restaurants catering for all tastes and of course wine tasting as Mirathon is very close to the appelations of Bordeaux, Graves, Saint Emilion, Bergerac and the delightful sweet wines of Monbazillac and Sauternes - essential with foie gras!
Golf enthusiasts will love the renowned Chateaue de Vigiers course (30 mins) with many other course only 8 kms away. Local activities include the sandy swimming lake at Lac de Castelgaillard, fishing canoeing, horse-riding, tennis, and cycling. Bergerac with its fine old buildings, boat trips aong the Dordogne, kayak tours and adventure trails for young and old alike is only 30 mins away. With sunflowers, vines, chateaux and bastide towns, this is a pocket of land with all the riches, beauty and diversity for which France is renowned. Everything is here for a perfect relaxing holiday.
